- Cloud types, Ci: the appearance of streaks and patches of Cirrus clouds

- Cloud types, Ci: streaks and patches of Cirrus clouds with fallstreak tufts. When Cirrus clouds have a vertical dimension, as here, the way they look in the sky is affected by the viewing direction relative to the orientation of the fallstreaks. The same patch will look quite different if viewed in other directions. As a result, the sky’s appearance changes continually even though the clouds themselves only change slowly.
