- Very slow convection in marginal instability. This is an unusual cloud formed by a cell with very slow, weak updrafts from a high base. Cumulus bubble and build into a mass which rises, then matures into a shower of Virga with a low anvil. That phase blows downwind and evaporates as the next one gathers. Three such phases are visible, with the oldest at left being a ghost anvil.
