- Bright cloud streaks pierce a dark blue sky. The element structure suggests Altocumulus but the clouds are completely frozen Cirrus. In this case they did not first form as water cloud and then freeze, because there is no smearing or streaking. It appears that they formed in a manner similar to Altocumulus but by sublimation in clear air to the ice crystal form. This unusual cloud form is like a merging of two cloud types.
