- Dark cloud base along outflow boundary cold pool
- W950682Z
- A squall line is preceded by a gust front which has just passed by. The dark cloud base along the outflow boundary becomes higher behind the wind shift, with lines and grooves along the vaulted upper edge of the cold pool of air. This view is the south half of the line (see W950679S) which is stronger, with a sharp and persistent outflow push digging into the warmer air.
