- A ragged inflow band and a low rain-free base on a severe storm cloud
- W991050Z
- A ragged inflow band at left streams into the forward edge of a huge, low rain-free base at the front of a high precipitation severe supercell storm cloud. Air enters the storm here, condensing at the base and rising to form giant towers above it that move into or become the next active portion of the system. At right are a few hints of a shelf cloud structure where outflow is pushing forward.
