- This low-precipitation supercell storm type has a small but tightly organized rotating updraft with very rapidly rising towers above it. In this view to the southwest, air arrives from the left and turns steeply upward, condensing along a short baseline. Aloft, the storm is producing mostly hail, which falls forward to the right.
