- Strong winds aloft flowing above the top of a squall line (right to left) are being bent upward by rising air from one of the storm cells below. This has forced the air in that flow to condense as a long Pileus cloud. It has three merged wafers with slightly different moisture content supernumeraries which causes different amounts of cloud to form in each.
