- Wide-angle view of a typical HP supercell hailstorm
- W011693S
- Wide-angle view to the northwest of a typical HP supercell hailstorm moving northeast. Air rises along a curved path into the dark base (centre) and forms the intense curtain of rain and hail to its left. Strong downdrafts with the rain evaporate all lower clouds resulting in the rain curtain being much brighter than surrounding clouds. Rotation is present, but not too apparent, with only a flat, slightly lowered base suggesting its location. See another view, W011709Z.
