- Weakening storm outflow boundary with a thin gust front
- W012980S
- A weakening storm outflow boundary, now far ahead of the rain, has a thin cloud line along the gust front and a large, bright gap just behind it where downdrafts break up the clouds. Farther back, the rain is still on the way. The shelf cloud sits atop the now shallow front side of the cooler outflow air and is separated from and well below the storm’s base above it.
