- Non-standard Stratocumulus cloud type with confusing formation
- W020852Z
- Non-standard cloud type formation. A clear, moist air mass cools to saturation after sunset, allowing a thin, low cloud sheet to form quickly. The cloud is smooth, with bands aligned like streets along the flow, and looks like a layer of smoke. The structure implies low Altocumulus but it is Stratocumulus because it moves with the surface winds.
