- Glaciation process in bands of high clouds (hybrid cloud type)
- W003438Z
- Glaciation process in clouds. Bands of high cloud form initially by condensing as clumps of supercooled water. The brighter upper parts grow larger and remain mostly unfrozen, but continuous freezing causes trails of ice crystals to descend from each element. The trails curve as they are sheared forward by a stronger flow farther down. This hybrid cloud type behaves and begins like Ac but appears like Ci.
