- An Arcus cloud with laminar appearance precedes a squall line
- W003803Z
- An Arcus cloud wall precedes a slowly accelerating squall line. The laminar appearance is due to small variations in moistness of the air layers, and changes in wind shear in the forward motion. The yellow color is reflected skylight, exposing the more vertical sections along the edge.
