- Low-level convergence creates a strange cloud formation
- W943113Z
- A strange cloud formation accompanies a passing thunderstorm. A storm with updraft to the left and anvil overhead has a long, flat cloud line extending away from its base toward the northwest into the clear. This is an axis of low-level convergence guiding air below it into the storm. The two superimposed cloud layers along it are smooth, thin Altocumulus, forced to condense in stable air lifting gently along the axis.
