- Common form of thunderstorm propagation: new cells along axis
- W012654Z
- Common form of thunderstorm propagation. A lot of rising air creates dark clouds ahead of a cold front to the west with clearing beyond. At lower left is a storm. Outflow from its rain, combined with southeast winds, is causing new cells to propagate up the axis to its right, as seen by the rough lowering and circular base under a strong, new updraft.
