- Storm cloud structure revealed: southwest end of a squall line
- W002010Z
- Storm cloud structure revealed. The southwest end of a squall line in golden evening light. The top half of the view shows mostly horizontal, and therefore shaded, anvils which are now old after spreading out from earlier convection and thinning by evaporation. Lower down, rain and more vertical parts reflect light to appear brighter. A separate cell at right is along the same wind-shift line.
