- Thunderstorm cell propagation: air ahead of a storm converges
- W001010Z
- Thunderstorm cell propagation. Air ahead of this storm converges and rises along the darker inflow base in the foreground and matures into heavy showers that fall farther back. There are two separate rain swaths, showing that this system is propagating to the left even though it is moving forward and to the right. This kind of backside development slows down the forward motion of the storm.
