- The storm has ended but its dark anvil has a layer of scud (Pannus) below it that resembles Stratus Fractus clouds (top). The late sun has managed to sneak through to illuminate a separate tube of scud across the road, which is beginning to bubble a little with the added heat as it becomes Stratocumulus.
