- Condensation, LCL and cloud base height: bases at three levels
- W013219Z
- Condensation, LCL and cloud base height. This storm has bases at three levels. At left is the standard LCL, where ambient air condenses as it rises. The lower base is the level at which condensation occurs when air is moistened further by outflow mixing with it. Farther right, the rain falls from a much higher base since saturated air dries out during descent, evaporating clouds at a higher level.
