- Inflow-outflow interface of updrafts and rain curtain on a storm
- W874111Z
- This inflow-outflow interface places a dark line of updrafts beside a thin curtain of rain, with the rising air tilting back to the right. Numerous separate rain shafts suggest a series of small cells within the rain-free base rather than one larger cell. But the storm is evolving and a broad, rounded base at left may develop into a lowering and a stronger phase.
