- A cloud line at sunset indicates a boundary or convergence

- A salmon sunset glow paints a puffy cloud streamer with enchantment. This sky scene should elicit many questions because there is nothing obvious or ordinary about it, given there were no fronts, showers or winds to speak of that day. When a cloud line appears in a clear sky there must be a boundary present or some form of convergence causing air to rise and condense only there. The fact that the cloud is tilted (top leans back to the west) also adds to the speculation that a mesoscale or local wind shift is responsible. It could have been a pre-existing lake breeze boundary which began to drift as the surface flow reestablished over the area in the evening.
