- Claw of low cloud on the gust front of a storm
- W941965S
- A burst of outflow sends a claw of low cloud forward along a gust front. Where the cool, moist air curls upward, small teeth or strands of scud form and join the base. Above the Arcus is a peculiar light line where the anvil above the shelf is made brighter by light reflecting up from the shelf cloud's upper surface.
