- Sharply defined chinook arch cloud in the lee of the Rockies
- W882326Z
- A clean white, high chinook arch cloud, viewed to the northwest. An overcast sky in both directions (west and east) has a clear slit of sky in it where air passing over the mountains (to the left) descends the slopes and warms enough to maintain a clear gap. Where this air ascends again, clouds re-form in a very high Altocumulus sheet.
