- Glaciation in clouds, as Altocumulus Floccus change from water to ice
- W940677P
- Glaciation in clouds. Altocumulus Floccus clouds are in transition from entirely water droplets (bottom) to mostly frozen to completely frozen ice crystal trails (top). Once freezing begins, the growing ice crystals soak up the moisture quickly, or initiate small downdrafts that evaporate remaining unfrozen parts. The crystals will disperse or sublimate slowly.
