- A segmented tornado with parts of the funnel invisible due to dry air
- W930978W
- A tornado is almost invisible against a clearing sky except for two small, thin sections where air has condensed in the vortex to form a cloud tube. Between the funnel above and the strange, detached piece at the ground is a zone of dry air unable to support condensation. The segmented tornado appears innocuous but this is deceiving as the actual wind vortex extends much farther out.
