- Time and change in clouds: convection in dry air over mountains
- W010615Z
- Time and change in clouds. Convection is induced in dry air lifted over distant mountains. While a few thin, new towers are rising at lower right, a frozen Cirrus plume at left is all that remains of a previous series of towers. The separate updrafts have formed successive flakes of cloud while the base evaporates, leaving only an orphan anvil with fallstreaks in the sky.
