- Severe storm cloud devolution: crude beaver tail
- W030654Z
- Severe storm cloud devolution. A dark updraft base is being slowly isolated by outflow. It is all that remains of a larger storm which began to weaken and shrink when a large volume of outflow pushed the core back upwind. The low-level cool air follows a thin cloud street from the older stage back into what remains of the inflow to the storm. It is a crude example of a beaver tail.
