- A haboob dust storm threatens a desert landscape. Cloud layers thicken slowly above an advancing gust front now well removed from a distant dying storm. The forward edge of the dust has several lobes with the classic haboob structure of a gravity current (in this case, of dense, cool air). Each lobe is a distinct dust foot.
