- Tornado sequence 18 of 24. Bright rays of God and a mysterious, twisted tornado contradict the senses. The tornado funnel is shrinking in diameter as it weakens, but extends down the centre of the much wider vortex of high winds. The visible funnel is often much narrower than the violent winds and should not be used as a measure of tornado strength or its exact position.
