- Most of these clouds are the byproducts of daytime convection. A high Cirrus cloud plume mostly out of view (top) is casting a pall of shade over other clouds subduing their normally bright sides. The line of Cumulus is along a weak boundary at the edge of a pool of cool air left behind by an earlier shower.
